About this beach
Sutomore Beach is a busy, broad sandy beach in the town of Sutomore, roughly 6 km north of Bar. Backed by apartment blocks and a lively promenade, it is one of the most visited beaches on the Bar riviera and draws a mixed crowd of families, young travellers and local holidaymakers.
Loungers and water sports equipment are available for hire along the beach, and the promenade behind offers a good choice of cafes, ice cream shops and restaurants. The water is shallow near the shore, making it safe for children, while the open bay is suitable for swimming further out.
Good to know
Sutomore gets crowded fast in high season — mornings are noticeably quieter. Parking fills up quickly near the beach, so consider walking from the town centre or arriving on the train (Bar–Podgorica line stops here). A wide range of food and drinks is available right on the promenade.
