About this beach
Plaža Ričardova Glava is a popular pebble beach directly beneath the walls of Budva's medieval old town, one of the most photographed and centrally located beaches on the Riviera.
The beach sits in a sheltered position just outside the old town fortifications, with dramatic stone walls rising directly above the waterline. The pebbled shore leads into clear, blue-green water and the views back toward the old town are spectacular. Sunbeds and parasols are available, and the surrounding promenade is lined with cafes and bars. With a 4.4 rating from nearly 900 visitors, it's consistently well-regarded.
Perfect for those who want to combine a swim with sightseeing — the old town, restaurants and cafes are a few steps away.
Good to know
This beach is very central and fills up quickly in summer. Arrive before 9am for a good sunbed spot near the water. Water shoes help on the pebble entry. The views at sunset from the beach looking back at the old town are excellent.
