FAQ

Is parking difficult near popular beaches in Montenegro in summer?

Parking near the busiest beaches in July and August can be genuinely difficult. Budva's Slovenska Plaza and the Sveti Stefan area in particular get extremely congested, and roadside spots fill up by mid-morning on peak days. Paid car parks exist near most resort beaches and typically charge EUR 1–3 per hour or a flat daily rate.

Arriving before 9 am is the most reliable strategy if you're driving to a popular spot. Alternatively, parking a short walk outside the main resort area and walking in saves both money and frustration.

Beaches that involve a boat taxi — like Zanjic or Mirista on Lustica — or beaches reached by stairs (some Kotor-area coves) are naturally less crowded partly because driving to them is harder. June and September are noticeably easier for parking than the July–August peak.
