About this beach
Valdanos Beach is a scenic cove north-west of Ulcinj town, nestled within the Valdanos olive grove — one of the largest ancient olive groves in the Balkans. The combination of silver-green trees spilling down to the Adriatic and a quiet pebble beach creates an atmosphere that feels genuinely untouched.
The beach itself is small and pebbly rather than sandy, but the water is exceptionally clear and clean, sheltered by the surrounding hillside. It draws visitors who value nature, peace, and snorkelling in crystal-clear conditions.
There are minimal facilities here — the appeal is the setting itself. Shade from the olive trees replaces parasols, and the tranquillity is a deliberate contrast to the busier beaches closer to town.
Good to know
Around 5.5km north-west of central Ulcinj — best reached by car or scooter. Bring your own food and water as facilities are very limited. A mask and snorkel are worth packing given the clear water.
