On most organised Montenegrin beaches you can rent a two-lounger-and-umbrella set for roughly EUR 15–30 per day, which is the most common shade solution for families. More premium spots around Budva centre and the Sveti Stefan area charge at the higher end of that range or beyond. Canopy daybeds (baldahini) offer more substantial shade and comfort but typically cost EUR 40–100 per day — worth booking ahead via phone or WhatsApp at peak-season beach clubs.
If budget is a concern, many public beach areas allow you to bring your own umbrella and set up in the non-reserved section. Jaz beach (between Budva and Tivat) is a large beach with both paid-sunbed zones and free open sand, giving families flexibility.
Practical tip: the sun is intense between noon and 3 pm — plan a lunch break or siesta away from the beach during that window, especially with young children.
